COMAPC Approved as 501(c)(3)

Mike Hughes, Board Chair, is pleased to announce the organization received official federal status as an approved 501(c)(3). For the previous two years the organization has been working through other charitable organizations as it developed its own identity and mission. "As a federally recognized charitable organization COMAPC is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in accordance with all IRS codes. We realize how important this status is to our donors, sponsors and volunteers," said Hughes.

COMAPC Funds Cancer Screening

COMAPC funding fully supported the Columbus Cancer Clinic prostate cancer screening in 2007. The donation allowed the clinic to offer prostate specific antigen tests (PSA) to clinic clients and remaining funds were applied to the Homecare Support Services offered by the clinic.

Since 1921, the Columbus Cancer Clinic has been supporting underserved and low income clients of all races and ethnicities.
